Ultimate Resort System

This hospitality upgrade article talks about the search for the holy grail
of intergrated resort technology systems.


As fully integrated resorts work to capture more and more revenue and offer more and more activities during a guests stay the ability for various management systems to be able to talk to each other has become increasing important. The ultimate is to have system that can manage, Dining, rooms, golf, spa and other revenue streams all in one with the ability to book in real time over the internet. This article explores what people are doing today and what the future might hold.

Would somebody please do this! Having worked in a resort I can tell you the amount of problems caused because the spa, golf, Sales and catering and rooms systems are not full integrated is huge. Loss revenue, angry guests and unnecessary work for associates.

Whilst it is not easy to develop this, I am sure that there would be thousands of resorts world wide who would jump at the chance to be able to pilot and then buy this product.

Why is it so hard. I am not sure. I do know that it is probably a moving feast, in that we we develop resorts further and further the technology struggles to keep up!

Over time I am sure that somebody will get there and when they do.......WOW :)

Perhaps I should start a new career and develop this software, then I might be able to go sit on the beach...............
